Daniel Githinji is an alumni of the scholarship scheme. He grew up in Gilgil in the Rift Valley near Langalanga and went to Karunga Primary School. He subsequently attended Koelel High School before going on to study Construction Management at Jomo Kenyatta University. He graduated with a 2(1) in July 2014 and owns a small building construction company in Gilgil.

He is the project Manager for the 'Lunchbox' Programme that provides lunch to Ndogo and Mwega Primary Schools, the two schools in our catchment area of most need. Lunch in both schools consists of a 'porridge', called 'Uji' in Swahili. The recipe comes with a number of variations, but we provide a lunch consisting of sorghum, maize and sometimes beans.

The young children at these schools need your help. Please consider a donation to the 'Lunchbox Programme' and enable better learning to take place.
