Mary Waithera Kuria went to Simba Primary School and received her scholarship to Jomo Kenyatta Girls High School in 2009. She secured a degree at the Technical University of Kenya in the Built Environment, which was then converted to a degree to Architecture.

The Woodard Secondary School in Langalanga was funded by the Woodard Corporation and other donors and is a wonderful facility bringing education and opportunities to a particularly deprived part of the Kenyan Rift Valley.
